Audio post production of season 3 of the intolerant cooks is currently being mixed at Beat Tank in 5.1 surround and Dolby encoded LTRT stereo formats. As most of the series is outside in the elements, it has been a challenge to keep all the audio clean and clear. We used a number of programs to clean the audio and keep the voices clear.
When mastering the show, we had to mix in 5.1 surround format firstly and them render that final mix to LTRT which is a Dolby surround format that takes a surround mix and squashes it into a stereo format that when broadcast to televisions with Dolby surround sound - can be re-expanded in to a 5.1 mix for their home theatres.
